Gender reassignment for transgender people

Supreme Court, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Electoral Commission and the all State and Federal Attorney Generals have put in place protocols to ensure unimpeded access to justice, legal protection, health care, voting rights and a passport issued on the chosen identity. Mexico City and two other states have removed the requirement of a civil court order for trans people to get a new birth certificate that recognizes their gender identity.
