Efforts to prevent and prohibit discrimination and prevent bullying

Mexico´s Federal Law to Prevent and Eliminate Discrimination considers as a discrimination act any attempt to deny a person the access or stay within the education system either in public or private institutions or to prevent someone from receiving scholarships or incentives for education.
The National Commission of Human Rights of Mexico, teaming with UNESCO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, since 2018 has started a program of workshops in schools to educate and raise awareness among students and parents against homophobic and transphobic bullying.
