Throughout my athletic career, there have been moments when the people around me did not accept my sexuality. However, such difficult times do not necessarily last forever. What I want to convey is that if you're struggling as a fellow member of the LGBTQ+ community, you're not alone. I understand that in the current state of the sports world, there are times when you might feel like you have to hide who you are just to keep going. But please, don't ignore your true feelings. Take care of yourself. My hope is that this message can bring hope to someone who's struggling and contribute to creating a more accepting environment.
