Privacy Policy for residents of the European Economic Area
Preamble
The Non-Profit Organization Pride House Tokyo (hereinafter referred to as “PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO” or “We / Us”) aims to raise awareness of LGBTQ issues through the creation of hospitality spaces, hosting of events, and production of diverse content.
PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO has established the following Privacy Policy to explain how PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO uses the personal data gathered through its activities (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Data”).
PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO collects Personal Data to the extent necessary for achieving its purpose and through lawful and proper manner.
PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO does not provide Personal Data to third parties without prior consent of the persons involved (hereinafter referred to as “Data Subjects” or “You”) except in cases in which the provision of Personal Data is required by laws and regulations.
PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO takes security measures in conformity with laws and regulations for the prevention of leakage, loss, damage, unauthorized access/usage/destruction/alteration, and so forth.
1. Purpose for processing your Personal Data
The Personal Data collected by PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO allows us to:

- – Contact you and maintain the directory of PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO members.

PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO collects in particular personal identification information such as name, address, email address, phone number, nationality and gender.
In view of PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO’s activities, some of the information you provide to us is so-called “sensitive” data.

The Personal Data we process is obtained from you when you complete and submit a membership application.
B. Personal Data we process when you use our website
Other categories of Personal Data are obtained simply by browsing our website. This information may include usage details, IP addresses and information collected through cookies, web beacons and other tracking technologies, namely the frequency and duration of your visits to our website as well as details of your visit, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, logs and other communication data, as well as information about your computer and your Internet connection, including your IP address, operating system and browser type.
C. Personal Data we obtain through partner entities
From time to time, PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO might obtain Personal Data via third parties, such as partner entities pursuing similar objectives as PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO. In such cases, PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO observes that the parties obtained such data through lawful and proper manner, and makes sure individuals’ rights, interests and privacy are not to be harmed.
4. Legal basis for processing Personal Data
PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO process your Personal Data only when such processing is lawful under applicable law.
The legal basis for processing your Personal Data are as follows:
A. When you have consented to the processing of your Personal Data for the following purposes:

When it is the case, the agencies having access to your Personal Data are obliged to respect the confidentiality of the information and to use it only for the specific purpose for which it is to be used.
We take every precaution to preserve the integrity of your Personal Data, its confidentiality and to prevent disclosure to unauthorized parties.
5. Storage and deletion of Personal Data
Personal Data will be securely stored in Japan.
PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO will retain the Personal Data for the period required to fulfill the Purpose of Use. The specific retention period will be determined by considering the purpose for which the Personal Data is acquired and processed, the nature of the Personal Data, and the legal or business necessity for retaining the Personal Data.
Once this time period has expired, PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO will promptly delete Personal Data from PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO’s storage media.
6. Transfer of Data outside of the EEA
As PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO is based in Japan, PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO securely process personal data in Japan. On January 23, 2019 the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision on Japan, allowing personal data to flow freely between the two economies strong protection guarantees.

Cloud services are infrastructure, platforms, or software that are hosted by third-party providers and made available to users through the internet (hereinafter referred to as “Cloud Services”

Data Subjects are entitled to the following data protection rights:
The right to access – Data Subjects have the right to request PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO for copies of their personal data.
The right to rectification – Data Subjects have the right to request PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO to correct any information Data they believe to be inaccurate. Data Subjects also have the right to request PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO to complete the information they believe to be incomplete.
The right to erasure – Data Subjects have the right to request PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO to erase their personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – Data Subjects have the right to request PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO to restrict the processing of their personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – Data Subjects have the right to object PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO to process their Personal Data, under certain conditions. In particular, where Data Subjects have provided Personal Data voluntarily, or otherwise consented to its use, Data Subjects have the right to withdraw their consent.

9. Policy regarding use of Cookies
Some of PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO’s web pages use cookies and/or web beacons to provide better service to users of our website (hereinafter referred to as the “Users”). Cookies are text files placed on Users’ computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior information.
PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO keeps track of Users’ access logs information on its website, such as IP address. PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO utilizes this information to monitor how its website is being viewed.
Except for the pages where user recognition is necessary, PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO will not use the information to personally identify Users. PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO’s website uses Google Analytics, a statistic cookie, examining how Users use the website. Users can set their browser not to accept cookies. However, in a few cases, some of our website features may not function as a result.
10. Change in Policy
PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO may revise the details of this Privacy Policy if necessary. Any changes made to this Privacy Policy will be published on PRIDE HOUSE TOKYO’s website and / or otherwise communicated to the Data Subjects.
